Let’s get organized.

Election Day (November 5, 2024) is coming soon and we need to be ready. If you’re concerned about the economy, voting rights, the environment, reproductive healthcare, or simply democracy, you can’t sit this one out. We have a slate of key state races that will make or break whether North Carolina is a state we want to call home, or a place that doesn’t represent our values.

Must win state races:

Governor Josh Stein

Lt Governor Rachel Hunt

Attorney General Jeff Jackson

NC Supreme Court Justice Allison Riggs

State Auditor Jessica Holmes

State Treasurer Wesley Harris

NC Commissioner of Labor Braxton Winston

NC Superintendent of Public Instruction Mo Green

Note sure where to start? I highly recommend volunteering with the Wake County Democratic Party and Neighbors on Call. They are mobilized BUT they need your help.

Wake Dems (wakedems.org) is a volunteer-run organization that needs poll greeters, canvassers, and folks who can help get out the vote this fall. Sign up to volunteer and receive their newsletter. Make a donation to help them get the word out. Get involved with your precinct! Precincts are the smallest form of organization and the building blocks of the Democratic Party. It’s the area where you and your neighbors share a voting location. Find out which precinct you are in and contact your local Dem precinct leaders to mobilize at the grassroots level.

Neighbors on Call (neighborsoncall.org) is a community of progressive North Carolinians that helps elect Democrats to the NC General Assembly. Knock on doors with them to help flip the state legislature and end one-party rule. The Republican supermajority has to go. Neighbors on Call focuses on must-win seats for Democrats in and near Wake County. Your time with them will be well spent.

Must win NC General Assembly seats:

NC State Senator Lisa Grafstein

NC House Rep Safiyah Jackson

NC House Rep Evonne Hopkins

NC State Senator Terence Everitt

NC House Rep Bryan Cohn

I’m excited to hear what you’re doing to get organized. All hands on deck!
