My dad likes to say 20 years ago but today will do! My family had Christmas tree farms growing up. This was a very mom & pop (mostly pop) operation. We sold Scotch pine and blue spruce, allowing families to take live trees home that could be planted again. Cadence had her first tree planting experience with the City of Raleigh at Carolina Pines Park. We planted a sturdy white oak. Because of our new Leaf Out plan, we will plant 24,000 trees across the City by 2032, in time for our 240th anniversary.
